The Private Practice Development workshop exists to support therapists who are hoping to start their private practice OR therapists who are hoping to legitimize their budding practice.

With Emily, Brittney, and Erica you will learn the ins and outs of starting a business from registering it formally, basic accounting to-dos, marketing resources, identifying your niche(s), considering the accessibility of your location, crafting your equity statement, branding your business, attracting clients and more.

This course is designed to meet you where you are, without the pressure of live sessions or fixed timelines. You’ll move through a series of self-paced modules that guide you through the foundational decisions involved in starting or legitimizing a private practice.

Each module focuses on a specific area of practice development, allowing you to engage with the material at a pace that fits your schedule, capacity, and learning style. You can pause, revisit, and return to the content whenever you need clarity or reassurance.

Across the modules, you’ll gain practical guidance on formalizing your business, understanding basic accounting responsibilities, identifying and refining your niche, approaching marketing in an ethical and authentic way, considering accessibility and equity from the start, and developing a brand that reflects both your values and your clinical identity.

This course is not about rushing through a checklist. It’s about helping you understand how the pieces of private practice fit together so you can make informed decisions with confidence.
